What are LED Facials?

Suitable for both men and women, LED therapy is a non-invasive light therapy treatment that reduces the appearance of the visible signs of skin ageing. It is neither a laser nor an IPL treatment. Normally combined with our professional facials to help minimise visible fine lines and wrinkles by assisting to naturally heal the skin without causing any cell damage. LED therapy is a completely painless, pure non-laser light source, that is not an ultraviolet or infra-red light.

What does LED involve?

Your initial treatment will involve around 45 minutes which includes a detailed skin analysis and consultation. Treatments there after will typically be 30 minutes. A course of nine (9) treatments is higly recommended to maximise your investment. Ongoing maintenance on a four to six week basis will prolong the results.

Majority of clients will feel an immediate effect, but every skin type is different. Immediately after your first treatment, your skin will look clearer, brighter and smoother. Successive course of treatments is KEY to ensuring you get the best possible results.

Experience

You will feel a pleasant, warm feeling under the light beam as the light surrounds your face. It is much like lying on the beach for 20 minutes without the harmful UVA, UVB or infra-red radiation. While you are enjoying the warmth of the light, you will be brough to a deeper level of relaxation with a devine hand or foot massage by our expert therapist.

Delivery of the Light

LED light therapy was developed after many years of medical research. It delivers pure, narrow-band light via a matrix of purpose built LEDs (Light Emitting Diode) carefully positioned to ensure a uniform beam. The activation of photoacceptors is acheived with non-thermal light with no sub-dermal insult or damage to the tissue as seen with other light based therapy. The scientifically designed, patent-protected light source does not produce any harmful UVA, UVB or infra-red.

LED therapy has been developed to closely match key photoacceptors, excluding all unnecessary wavelengths and delivering a narrow and continuous dosage at optimum power. There is no photobleaching, sebaceous gland disruption or tissue hyperthermia as seen with high intensity light sources and lasers.
